Meet The Director

Papi Nyapotse

Papi holds an LLB degree from the University of Natal and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cape Town. Papi served Webber Wentzel Bowens Attorneys as a Professional Assistant and completed his articles at Stowell Co Attorneys in Pietermaritzburg. While at WWB, Papi was involved in various BEE transactions, including the MTN/M-Cell Share Swap Transaction, and the reverse listing of MTN. During his tenure as Director at CKM Attorneys, Papi serviced, amongst others, MTN, the Coega Development Corporation, the Department of Public Enterprises and Spoornet.

Papi has vast experience in project finance matters, the construction law and applied his expertise in the development of Louis Trichardt private prison. Papi has advised the IFC and the Development of Southern Africa (“DBSA”) on the Second Johannesburg City Bond Issue. Papi is proud to have advised various state-owned entities and private institutions such as the Public Investment Corporation, Eskom SOC Limited, just to mention a few. He has had the privilege of advising DEG on various security instruments generally used in South Africa.

Papi is well versed in Corporate Law and applies that expertise when advising Municipal entities on matters of governance. Papi advised Makalani Holdings Limited and Rand Merchant Bank for the acquisition of a PWC stake in Eyesizwe Mining (Pty) Ltd. Through his passion for diversity and transformation, Papi advised a BEE and women groupings in the eventual establishment of Exxaro. Papi chairs disciplinary hearings for various clients and serves on the Company Law sub-committee of the Law Societies of South Africa.

Bangiso Abraham Mhlabeni

Attorney

Bangiso is currently practicing as a Conveyancer having obtained Bachelor of Laws (LLB Hours level) and Bachelor of Social Science at the University of Cape Town. Bangiso is an established attorney in the field of Property Law where he advises clients after exploring complex research methods to provide succinct legal opinions. Bangiso participates in various committees that direct the future plan of companies, municipal entities and statutory boards. Bangiso’s specialises in advising on areas where there is a lacuna in the legislature and modifying existing legislature to suit the relevant times. and changes/development in society in all fields of law. Bangiso is currently the President of the Black Conveyancers Association (“BCA”), and a member of the South African Property Owners Association (“SAPOA”).

Faith Netshidzivhani

Attorney

Faith holds an LLB degree from the University of Venda and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in 2013. During her articles, Faith focused on gaining Civil Litigation experience for both High and Magistrate’s court. Faith assisted the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality on various matters and instituting motion proceedings arising from contraventions of Town Planning Schemes and National Building Regulation and Standard Act. Faith keeps her finger to the pulse by conducting legal research on the reform of legislation in matters regarding the Road Accident Fund.

Through her employment at Nyapotse incorporated in 2017, Faith has gained vast experience in the Labour Law, Medical Negligence, Employment Law and currently heads the Debt Collection department.

Amanda Dladla

Attorney

Amanda holds an LLB degree from the University of the Free State and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in 2015. Amanda is an expert at applying the law to numerous facts and highly effective at developing case strategies. She is skilled in persuasive legal drafting and thrives in her current role as a Conveyancing Attorney. Amanda’s understanding of the complexities in the legal system was noted and awarded with an opportunity of increased responsibility immediately after serving articles in 2015, whilst employed at Molefi Thoabala Inc. During this time, she used her multiple skillsets as a tool to diligently serve society at large. Amanda is currently spearheading the launch of inter Provincial title deed projects, wherein she developed the disciplined habit of working within the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to facilitate the delivery of title deeds to rightful beneficiaries. Amanda is has been selected as a Mentee in the Cyrus R Vance Centre for International Justices’ project for Advancing of Women in the Workplace, where she aims to create networks within the area of Aviation Law under the watchful guidance of an Executive of the Air Traffic and Navigation Service.

Thubelihle Mtshali

Attorney

Thubelihle holds an LLB degree from the University of Zululand and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in 2022. While serving her articles, Thubelihle primarily focused on Corporate and Banking & Finance Law. She worked in the team of attorneys advising the Board of the Public Investment Corporation during the Judicial Commission of enquiry into allegations of impropriety against the PIC. Thubelihle received extensive training on the craft of drafting legal opinions dealing with Corporate Governance matters and the Companies Act. She further provided assistance in a legal due diligence for a large coal and heavy minerals mining company into the target company. She assisted in a Broad-Based Black Economic (BBBEE) Investment deal, regarding a sale of 30% equity in a Logistics Company to a BEE partner. During this transaction, Thubelihle is exposed to drafting Shareholders Agreement (C-class Preference Shares), Sale of Shares, Board Resolutions, Consent Agreements and Memorandum of Incorporation. Thubelihle has formulating various legal opinions on Trust laws and Capacity and Authority Opinions for the Development Bank of South Africa.

Winston Williams

Attorney

Winston is an Admitted Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary which is very rare and special in the Legal Field. He holds the degrees of a BA (LAW) and Post-Graduate LLB from the University of Western Cape and has completed a Post-Graduate Leadership Program at UNISA. He is considered an all rounder and has a passion for the drafting of legal pleadings and documents. He is a keen and avid reader and researcher who loves to keep up to date with new case law, legislation changes and the general and specific trends within the legal field. He has proven his ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with critical deadlines. Furthermore, he is a firm believer that no job is too small and every person functions together to improve the bigger picture through systems thinking. He strongly believes that a person is never too old to learn a new skill, that there is true power in education and that constructive criticism can only be to your advantage. He is also a good listener with the ability to accurately receive and interpret messages in the communication process.
